KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.
The spot month July 2024 and December 2024 contracts leapt 10.5 points to 1,640.0 and 1,634.0, respectively. August 2024 and September 2024 jumped 11.5 sen each to 1,643.5 and 1,627.5.
Turnover dwindled to 7,498 lots from 8,414 lots on Tuesday, while open interest decreased to 52,696 contracts from 53,130 contracts yesterday.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 7.58 points, or 0.47 per cent, to 1,633.54 from Tuesday's close of 1,625.96.
