KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the bullish momentum of the underlying cash market.
August 2024 and December 2024 added 27.5 points each to 1,681.5 and 1,667.0 respectively, while September 2024 and March 2025 increased 27 points each to 1,661.0 and 1,653.0 respectively.
Turnover surged to 80,730 lots from 50,741 on Tuesday, while open interest jumped to 131,020 contracts from 97,775 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 22.95 points or 1.38 per cent to 1,675.24 from Tuesday’s close of 1,652.29.
