KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives slipped at the close today, tracking the downtrend in the underlying cash market.
August 2024 fell 23.5 points to 1,658.0, December 2024 dropped 29 points to 1,638.0, September 2024 decreased 16.5 points to 1,644.5 and March 2025 shed 22.5 points to 1,644.5.
Turnover weakened to 28,236 lots from 80,730 on Wednesday, while open interest narrowed to 74,912 contracts from 131,020 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI dropped 21.69 points or 1.29 per cent to 1,653.55 from Wednesday's close of 1,675.24.
