KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives soared at the close today, tracking the upbeat momentum in the underlying cash market.
August 2024 added 12.5 points to 1,670.5, September 2024 gained 27 points to 1,671.5, December 2024 expanded 39.5 points to 1,677.5 and March 2025 improved by 18 points to 1,662.5.
Turnover weakened to 19,698 lots from 28,236 on Thursday, while open interest narrowed to 65,635 contracts from 74,912 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI jumped 25.25 points to 1,678.80 from Thursday's close of 1,653.55.
