INDIA'S PM MODI'S COALITION WINS MAJORITY IN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS – REPORTS

NEW DELHI, June 4 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- The National Democratic Alliance led by incumbent Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party won a majority in the parliamentary elections, Indian broadcaster NDTV's calculations showed on Tuesday, reported Sputnik. 

Elections to India's lower house of parliament were held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with vote counting to be completed on June 4.

The calculations showed that the incumbent prime minister's coalition wins at least 280 parliamentary seats out of 543.
