US Dollar Ticks Up

NEW YORK, Sept 24 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Monday, reported Xinhua.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.13 per cent to 100.851 at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro declined to US$1.1116 from US$1.1165 in the previous session, and the British pound added to US$1.3347 from US$1.3318 in the previous session.

The US dollar bought 143.34 Japanese yen, lower than 143.87 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar dropped to 0.8467 Swiss francs from 0.8503 Swiss francs, and it lost to 1.3502 Canadian dollars from 1.3559 Canadian dollars. The US dollar increased to 10.1909 Swedish Kronor from 10.1692 Swedish Kronor.
