NEW YORK, Dec 10 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- US stocks ended lower on Monday, reported Xinhua.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 240.59 points, or 0.54 per cent, to 44,401.93. The S&P 500 sank 37.42 points, or 0.61 per cent, to 6,052.85. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 123.08 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 19,736.69.
Nine of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with financials and communication services leading the laggards by dropping 1.41 per cent and 1.31 per cent, respectively. Meanwhile, health and real estate led the gainers by climbing 0.22 per cent and 0.09 per cent, respectively.
