“A policeman from the Ulu Kinta General Operations Force (GOF) reportedly died of heat stroke while participating in a cross-country activity on May 30,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Sivanesan said eight deaths due to complications from dengue fever were also recorded during the first seven months of this year, compared to only one death in the same period last year.

According to him, the cumulative number of dengue fever cases reported up to the 30th Epidemiological Week (ME30) this year was 5,058, compared to 1,975 recorded in the same period last year.
