FAMA Targets RM5 Mln Sales At MAHA 2024

KUALA NERUS, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) is targeting RM5 million in sales at the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro Tourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2024 which will take place from Sept 11 to 22.

Its director-general Abdul Rashid Bahri said the target covers five clusters including the Kingdom of Agro Food; Food Empire & Food Viral; Food Truck Fiesta; Food Trade and Rhythm of Farmers.

He said one of the main attractions was the sale of 1,000 special and viral menus from all over the country.

"Special food from this state, we will bring a menu that we have competed in. For example, Terengganu nasi dagang and Johor mee bandung which we put together in one cluster.

"We also have a fruit tower gimmick made from pomeloes and jackfruit. The fruit tower shaped like a twin tower will be vying to be in the Malaysia Book of Records as the tallest fruit tower in Malaysia," he said after the opening ceremony of the Terengganu State MADANI Mega Agro Sales Carnival 2024 at Gong Badak Sports Complex, here today.

Accordingly, he welcomed the public's visit to the FAMA booth which presents a variety of unique and special attractions.

"We also have a Rhythm of Farmers cluster on spiritual aspect and a little entertainment event to encourage people to stay at the MAHA site until 10 pm," he said.
