PENAMPANG, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- Nearly 1,000 participants joined the MADANI community retreat for the Sabah and Labuan zones at the International Technology and Commercial Centre (ITCC) here today, attended by Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
The retreat brought together members from 219 MADANI communities in Sabah and six MADANI communities from the Federal Territory of Labuan.
The programme, which began at 8.30 am, featured a talk on the MADANI community as a force for credible communication, delivered by Royal Malaysia Police Anti-Scam Ambassador Rahmat Fitri Abdullah.
Associate Professor Datuk Dr Ramzah Dambul, CEO of the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah), delivered a lecture titled ‘Memaknai Perjanjian Malaysia 1963 (MA63)’ (Understanding the Malaysia Agreement 1963).
During the event, Fahmi also engaged with and held discussions with participants from the MADANI community.
