KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Coffee Star, an automated coffee kiosk provider, via its parent company Fario Holdings Sdn Bhd, has signed a strategic partnership deal with Belgium’s Puro Coffee and Saudi Arabia’s Alkeyf Ibtikar to establish a joint venture and tap growing demand in the Middle East country.

The joint venture company, Puro Coffee Saudi Arabia Ltd, will deploy Coffee Star’s state-of-the-art automated barista machines in key locations across Saudi Arabia, including airports and shopping malls.

The company will also launch the Suqya @Road2Haramain initiative in Saudi Arabia, setting up automated coffee stations to offer free coffee to pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah as a form of “infaq” (charity).

“The partnership is also a testament to Malaysia’s growing influence in the global coffee industry,” Coffee Star chief executive officer (CEO) Raja Ahmad Fauzan said in a statement today.

He said the company is proud to bring its innovation and expertise to the global market.

Meanwhile, Alkeyf Ibtikar CEO Saqer Al-Qarni said the partnership will integrate international branding and innovative technology with local expertise, ensuring a seamless market entry into Saudi Arabia.

On another note, Puro Coffee Malaysia representative Ronny Keikens said that the partnership, which combines Coffee Star’s automation, Puro Coffee’s ethically sourced beans, and Alkeyf Ibtikar’s deep local expertise, will not only deliver world-class coffee but also create meaningful social impact.

Coffee Star said this marks a significant milestone in Malaysia’s efforts to export homegrown innovation to the global coffee industry and positions Puro Coffee Saudi Arabia as a key player in sustainable, automated coffee solutions while supporting local job creation and economic growth.
