S'wak Governor, wife grace 2024 SUKMA wushu competition

KUCHING, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Sarawak Yang Dipertua Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended the 2024 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) wushu competition at Dewan Wushu SSC here today.

They spent time watching three final matches, the men’s and women’s changquan and the men’s taijijian and Wan Junaidi later presented the winners with their medals.

The couple’s presence certainly boosted the spirit of the home contingent, as Sarawakian Stephanie Ngu Chai Ern won the state’s first gold in the women’s changquan.

A total of 28 gold medals for wushu are up for grabs throughout three days of competition, which begins today.
