NEW YORK, July 10 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.12 per cent to 105.129 at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro declined to US$1.0813 from US$1.0826 in the previous session, and the British pound fell to US$1.2788 from US$1.2812 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 161.31 Japanese yen, higher than 160.79 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar was up to 0.8979 Swiss francs from 0.8971 Swiss francs, and it was down to 1.3630 Canadian dollars from 1.3639 Canadian dollars. The US dollar dropped to 10.5500 Swedish kronor from 10.5695 Swedish kronor.
