JAKARTA, July 17 (Bernama) -- Indonesia's National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) has inaugurated the Adhi Pradana Counter-Terrorism Museum in Bogor, West Java.

The museum, situated at the BNPT Complex, aims to educate the youth on tolerance and non-violence, showcasing terrorist events since 1948.

It was launched by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Hadi Tjahjanto, in conjunction with the agency's 14th anniversary on Tuesday.

"The museum symbolises our commitment to combating terrorism and building a safer Indonesia," said Hadi in his speech.

BNPT head Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel in a statement said the museum served as both an educational tourist attraction and a recreational spot for students, academics, and researchers.

“We hope the museum will benefit women, children, and teenagers by fostering appreciation for the values of tolerance in nation-building,” he said.

Also launched at the museum event was the Indonesian Anti-Terrorism Association (PATI), which comprises notable counter-terrorism figures and academicians among others, to contribute to various aspects of counter-terrorism, including mitigation, technology, and addressing contemporary threats.
