France Records Over 140 Cyberattacks During Olympics – reports

PARIS, Aug 14 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- The French Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) recorded more than 140 cybersecurity breaches during the Olympics, reported Sputnik, citing the Le Figaro daily.

Of these, 119 attacks had a "low impact on the information system" of the facilities, while in 22 other cases "the attackers successfully affected the information system", the report read on Tuesday.

The attacks reportedly targeted government and sports institutions, transport and telecommunications.

The 2024 Olympic Games took place in Paris from July 26 to Aug 11, and the Paralympics will be held from Aug 28 to Sept 8.
