NEW YORK, Sept 10 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Monday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up by 0.37 per cent to 101.553 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro was down to US$1.1043 from US$1.1087 in the previous session, and the British pound dropped to US$1.3078 from US$1.3134 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 142.81 Japanese yen, higher than 142.36 Japanese of the previous session. It rose to 0.8482 Swiss francs from 0.8428 francs, and decreased to C$1.3560 from C$1.3564 previously.
The greenback climbed to 10.3639 Swedish Kronor from 10.2989 Kronor previously.
