NEW YORK, Sept 11 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday, Xinhua reported.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up by 0.08 per cent to 101.631 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro dropped to US$1.1024 from US$1.1043 in the previous session, and the British pound increased to US$1.3082 from US$1.3078 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 142.35 Japanese yen, lower than 142.81 yen of the previous session. It fell to 0.8467 Swiss francs from 0.8482 francs, and rose to C$1.3605 from C$1.3560 of previous session.
The greenback advanced to 10.3743 Swedish Kronor from 10.3639 Kronor.
