US Dollar Ticks Up

NEW YORK, Sept 18 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up by 0.13 per cent to 100.894 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro climbed to US$1.1122 from US$1.1121 in the previous session, and the British pound fell to US$1.3166 from US$1.3207 in the previous session.

The US dollar bought 141.81 Japanese yen, higher than 140.71 yen of the previous session. It advanced to 0.8460 Swiss francs from 0.8454 Swiss francs, and was unchanged at C$1.3593. The greenback decreased to 10.1822 Swedish Kronor from 10.1983 Kronor.
