NEW YORK, Sept 27 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Thursday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.39 per cent to 100.522 at 3:00 pm(1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro climbed to US$1.1179 from US$1.1134 in the previous session, and the British pound was up to US$1.3419 from US$1.3320 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 144.62 Japanese yen, lower than 144.68 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar lost to 0.8458 Swiss francs from 0.8498 Swiss francs, and it decreased to 1.3470 Canadian dollars from 1.3480 Canadian dollars. The US dollar declined to 10.1070 Swedish Kronor from 10.1901 Swedish Kronor.
