RIYADH, March 25 (Bernama-SPA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation authorities' announcement of the establishment of an agency aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to the report, the agency also announced the approval of separating 13 illegal settlement neighborhoods in the occupied West Bank, in preparation for legalising them as colonial settlements.
Albudaiwi affirmed that the announcement is a blatant violation, before the eyes of the international community, of all international charters, treaties, and agreements, and a serious threat to security and stability in the region.
He affirmed the GCC's full and unwavering solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people in the face of these inhumane and illegal actions by the Israeli occupation forces.
Albudaiwi also stressed the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue that achieves security and stability in the region, as well as full adherence to international legitimacy resolutions and the principle of a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, in a manner that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.
