Anadolu Documents Wounded Civilians Treated At Hospitals In Tehran After Israeli Strikes

ANKARA/TEHRAN, June 22 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- Anadolu visited and documented Tehran’s Hazrat Rasoul Akram and Imam Khomeini hospitals, where civilians injured in Israeli attacks are being treated, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported. 

The Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi said three hospitals and six ambulances have been hit since June 13.

Anadolu spoke with hospital staff and victims, documenting their accounts of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Imam Khomeini Hospital Director Abdurrahman Rostamian said that “Israel is clearly targeting civilians and medical centres.”

He urged the international community and media to help prevent further attacks on hospitals.

“Since the beginning of the attacks, we prepared to provide emergency services to the wounded,” he said.At Hazrat Rasoul Akram Hospital, Chief Physician Hasan Emiri said about 70 patients have been treated since the attacks began.

He reported that two staff members were attacked in their homes; one was killed, and the other was injured and later discharged.

“Our hospital is fully prepared, and we face no shortages in medical supplies or equipment. We’re ready to provide all necessary care for the wounded,” Emiri noted.

At least 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the Israeli assault on Iran, according to the Iranian Health Ministry.
