ALMATY, Jan 13 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan has become one of the few countries with both its men’s and women’s tennis players ranked in the world’s top 10, according to Kazinform news agency on Monday, which cited the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation, reported Xinhua.
Kazakhstan's leading female tennis player, Elena Rybakina, has maintained a stable position in the top 10 of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings and was ranked fifth in early 2026.
On the men's side, Alexander Bublik recently won an ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Tour event in Hong Kong, China.
Following the victory, his ATP world ranking rose to 10th, making him the first Kazakh male tennis player in history to break into the world's top 10.
