JAKARTA, April 10 (Bernama) -- Indonesia strongly condemned the coordinated attacks by Israel on Beirut and several other areas in Lebanon, which have resulted in civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement posted on X, said the attacks constituted serious violations of international law, including international humanitarian law, and warned that such actions risk exacerbating regional tensions and undermining global security.
“Indonesia demands that Israel immediately and permanently cease all hostilities and aggression in Lebanon.
“Indonesia also underscores the importance of protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure, in accordance with international law,” it said.
Indonesia called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, take steps towards de-escalation, prioritise dialogue, and avoid actions that could further aggravate the situation.
