1. KOREA REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR LAOS -- VIENTIANE TIMES
South Korea will continue to support Laos by launching a new US$1 million (RM4 million) project to promote environmental conservation, research, and ecotourism. It will establish the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Garden in Vientiane.
2.VIETNAM TO PROCURE MORE LAO ELECTRICITY -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Vietnam plans to import more electricity from Laos to prevent potential power shortages. Additional power lines will be built to supply electricity to northern Vietnam by 2027.

1.RUBBER EXPORTS WORTH RM1.6 BILLION -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR
Myanmar exported about 300,000 metric tonnes of rubber worth US$400 million (RM1.6 billion) between April last year and March. Its main buyers are China, followed by Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan.
2.SPEEDY YANGON-MANDALAY RAIL JOURNEY -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR
The Yangon-Mandalay train journey has been slashed to only 10 hours from 19 hours after extensive upgrading of tracks. Modern signalling systems, new locomotives and carriages are now deployed.

Vietnam recorded a trade deficit of US$7.11 billion (RM28 billion) in the first four months of this year. Main exports are processed industrial goods, agricultural and forestry products, and fuels and minerals.
