FBM KLCI Futures End Lower, Tracking Cash Market's Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, in line with the performance of the underlying cash market. 

Spot month September 2024 slipped 13.5 points to 1,660.5, October 2024 depreciated 12.0 points to 1,664.0, December 2024 went down by 11.0 points to 1,669.0 and March 2025 shed 13.0 points to 1,654.0.  

Turnover improved to 15,175 lots from 11,590 lots on Friday, while open interest expanded to 59,534 contracts from 57,254 contracts yesterday.  

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 3.52 points, or 0.21 per cent, to 1,665.30 at the close from Friday's close of 1,668.82.
