FBM KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracking Cash Market's Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, in line with the performance of the underlying cash market. 

Spot month September 2024 rose 7.0 points to 1,667.5, October 2024 appreciated 6.5 points to 1,670.5, December 2024 went up by 6.0 points to 1,675.0 and March 2025 gained 8.5 points to 1,662.5.  

Turnover surged to 31,370 lots from 15,175 lots on Monday, while open interest expanded to 75,828 contracts from 59,534 contracts previously.  

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) ended the day 5.07 points, or 0.30 per cent higher at 1,670.37 compared to Monday’s close of 1,665.30.
