DNex Shares Up After Google Asia Partnership

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Dagang NeXchange Bhd’s (DNex) shares rose in Bursa Malaysia’s early trading session today after the company partnered Singapore-based Google Asia Pacific Pte Ltd to provide sovereign cloud services in Malaysia.

As at 9.57 am, the counter rose 4.5 sen to 38 sen. It was the most actively traded stock with 70.97 million shares changing hands.

DNex said in a Bursa filing that the commercial agreement would enable it to operate Google distributed cloud as a managed provider, focusing on air-gapped configurations for organisations in Malaysia.

“The agreement allows the company to resell Google’s cloud solutions, including Google Cloud Platform (Public Cloud), Google Distributed Cloud — Edge (Connected), and Google Distributed Cloud — Air-gapped (Disconnected),” it said.
