FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today.

Spot month October 2024 shed 18.0 points to 1,639.0, November 2024 fell 17.5 points to 1,642.5, December 2024 declined 19.5 points to 1,645.0, and March 2025 went down 19.0 points to 1,633.0. 

Turnover slipped to 4,743 lots from 6,799 on Tuesday, while open interest rose to 48,899 contracts from 46,464 previously.  

The FBM KLCI decreased by 17.08 points, or 1.03 per cent, and settled at 1,639.31, down from Tuesday’s close of 1,656.39.
