KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Bernama) - ES Event Management Sdn Bhd (ES Event) sees Malaysian companies generating RM3 billion in sales during the Canton Fair 2024 from Oct 15 to Nov 5, in Guangzhou, China.

ES Event is an event management company that acts as the sole Malaysian agent for the Canton Fair, one of the largest trade events in China. Its managing director Datuk Chong Chong Tik said about 76 local companies from Malaysia will be joining the fair this year to showcase their products at the Malaysia Pavilion.

"Canton Fair is the largest exhibition that brings together exhibitors and buyers from many countries. Therefore, through the participation of our local companies, they can expand and introduce their products to a larger market," he told Bernama at the Malaysia Import and Export Commodity Fair here today.

Chong said entrepreneurs participating in the fair also have the potential to receive a market development grant from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

The fair is organised by the China Foreign Trade Centre and co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China.
