Dialog Chief Operating Officer Mustaffa Kamal Promoted To CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Dialog Group Bhd has promoted its chief operating officer Mustaffa Kamal Abu Bakar to chief executive officer (CEO) effective today.

This appointment aligns with the group’s business strategies and succession planning, ensuring resilience and commitment to creating sustainable value for all stakeholders, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Mustaffa Kamal, 60, brings over 37 years of experience in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Before joining Dialog, he worked with Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for five years and with other oil and gas-related companies in design consultancy, construction and fabrication, maintenance, and specialised services. He was also a council member of the Malaysian Gas Association.

Mustaffa Kamal joined Dialog in 2001 as director of business development (plant services division) and later served as the CEO of Dialog E & C Sdn Bhd and Dialog Plant Services Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile, Dialog also announced that managing director of upstream oil and gas and member of the executive leadership team, Keith Collins, has assumed the role of chief operating officer, also effective today.

The 63-year-old Briton has more than 41 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with extensive expertise in upstream management, drilling, completion, and field development activities both abroad and in Malaysia.

“Prior to joining the group, he was the CEO of Vestigo Petroleum, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Petronas Carigali, for seven years,” it added.
