FBM KLCI Futures Ends Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Monday despite the better underlying cash market’s performance. 

Spot month October 2024 shed 4.5 points to 1,633.50, November 2024 and March 2025 slid 3.0 points to 1,637.50 and 1,629.0, respectively, while December 2024 fell 4.0 points to 1,640. 

Turnover decreased to 5,984 lots from 6,258 last Friday, while open interest narrowed to 46,388 contracts from 46,608 previously.            

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI was up 0.18 per cent, or 2.99 points, to 1,636.54 from Friday’s close.
