Supply Bill 2025 Tabled For First Reading In Dewan Rakyat

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- The Supply Bill 2025 (Budget 2025) was tabled for the first reading in the Dewan Rakyat today.

The bill was read by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Legal and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, who represented Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.

"Tuan Yang DiPertua, I would like to apologise for the unavoidable health factor, which is the inflammation of the oesophagus (Amir Hamzah is having). I would like to submit the Supply Bill 2025," said Azalina.

She said the bill will be tabled for the second reading at 4 pm this Friday by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is also the Finance Minister. 

The bill seeks to allocate funds from the consolidated fund for services for the year 2025.

Based on the Dewan Rakyat calendar,  Members of Parliament are scheduled to debate the Supply Bill 2025 at the policy level from Oct 21-Nov 5 and at the committee level from Nov 13-Dec 3.
