FBM KLCI Futures End Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Wednesday, tracking the underlying cash market’s performance. 

The spot month October 2024 contract rose 15.0 points to 1,647.50, November 2024 and December 2024 added 14.0 points each to 1,650.0 and 1,654.0 respectively, and March 2025 garnered 14.5 points to 1,642.0. 

Turnover increased to 7,346 lots from 7,058 on Wednesday, while open interest slid to 47,504 contracts from 47,700 previously.            

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI increased 8.81 points, or 0.54 per cent, to 1,641.44 from Wednesday’s close of 1,632.63.
