RHB Concludes RM800 Mln Sukuk Issuance

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- RHB Bank Bhd has completed its fourth issuance of RM800 million in nominal value Senior Sukuk Murabahah under its RM10 billion in nominal value Sukuk Murabahah Programme.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the bank said the Senior Sukuk Murabahah, rated AA1 (Stable) by RAM Rating Services Bhd, comprised Series 4 RM200 million Senior Sukuk Murabahah, issued for a tenure of five years with a fixed profit rate of 3.84 per cent per annum, payable semi-annually in arrears.

Additionally, it comprises Series 5 RM400 million Senior Sukuk Murabahah, issued for a tenure of seven years with a fixed profit rate of 3.96 per cent per annum, payable semi-annually in arrears.

Meanwhile, Series 6 RM200 million Senior Sukuk Murabahah was issued for a tenure of 10 years with a fixed profit rate of 3.99 per cent per annum, payable semi-annually in arrears.

"Proceeds raised from the Senior Sukuk Murabahah will be utilised for the working capital of its subsidiary company in Islamic business activities," said the bank.
