FBM KLCI Futures Ends Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Thursday, in line with the performance of the underlying cash market. 

Spot month October 2024 fell 10.0 points to 1,632.0, November 2024 declined 10.5 points to 1,635.0, December 2024 dipped 8.5 points to 1,639.5 and March 2025 edged down 8.0 points to 1,628.0.

Turnover soared to 20,217 lots from 3,655 yesterday, while open interest surged to 62,121 contracts from 45,027 previously.            

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 9.30 points or 0.57 per cent, to end at its intraday low of 1,632.23  from Wednesday's close of 1,641.53.
