Gold Futures End Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) -- Gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking gains in the US COMEX gold market.

Spot month November 2024 increased to US$2,692.70 per troy ounce from Thursday’s US$2,673.10 per troy ounce, and December 2024 rose to US$2,705.60 per troy ounce from US$2,686 per troy ounce previously.

Meanwhile, January 2025, February 2025 and April 2025 contracts all settled higher at US$2,705.60 per troy ounce against US$2,686 per troy ounce yesterday.

Trading volume declined to 15 lots from Thursday’s 33 lots, while open interest slid to 31 contracts from 41 contracts previously.

According to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Nov 7, the price of physical gold was US$2,692 per troy ounce.
