KKIP Power Pays RM3.14 Mln Dividend To Parent Company

KOTA KINABALU, 14 Nov (Bernama) -- KKIP Power Sdn Bhd has paid a dividend of RM3.14 million to its parent company KKIP Sdn Bhd for the financial year 2023.

In a statement today, the Sabah Chief Minister’s Department said KKIP Power Chairman Datuk Joseph Lee handed over the dividend to Sabah Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, who is also the chairman of KKIP.

The ceremony was witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor at Menara Kinabalu here yesterday. 

KKIP, a wholly-owned company of the Sabah Government established in 1994, holds 51 per cent of the shares in KKIP Power, which declared a RM6.15 million dividend for the year.

KKIP Power, incorporated in 1996, is an electricity supply utility company responsible for the transmission, distribution and reticulation of electricity in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park here.
