Takaful Malaysia Commits To Digital Agenda, Sustainable Business Initiative

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd is committed to investing in digital innovation and technology to ensure a sustainable business, said group chief executive officer Nor Azman Zainal.

Nor Azman said Takaful Malaysia, established as the country’s first takaful company 40 years ago, will remain capable of competing in the insurance and takaful industry and meeting current market needs.

“Over the four decades, Takaful Malaysia has achieved many successes and received both national and international recognition.

“Although facing challenges in the current market, I am proud that the management and staff remain motivated and united to ensure Takaful Malaysia’s brand remains relevant and becomes the choice for Syariah-compliant protection,” he said during Takaful Malaysia’s 40th Anniversary Celebration here today.

Meanwhile, Nor Azman announced that Takaful Malaysia will launch a youth leadership programme called the Takaful 100 Youth Leadership Programme.

He said the programme, which is expected to be launched next year, will be part of the company’s sustainability initiative and aspiration to ensure a viable future for the nation.

“Through this programme, we hope to produce a generation of young leaders who are visionary, resilient and possess high leadership ability.

“This initiative reflects our vital role in developing the country as well as our commitment to contribute towards developing a sustainable and inclusive society,” he said.

Nor Azman added that Takaful Malaysia recorded an annual revenue of RM3 billion since 2021 as well as a yearly profit before zakat and tax of over RM500 million.

Takaful Malaysia is the country’s pioneer takaful operator and was incorporated forty years ago on Nov 29, 1984.
