FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today despite the positive performance of the underlying cash market.

The spot month December 2024 contract fell 4.5 points to 1,614.0, January 2025 erased 3.5 points to 1,619.0, March 2025 shed 1.0 point to 1,603.0, and June 2025 dipped 2.5 points to 1,609.5.

Turnover declined to 4,583 lots from 4,880 lots on Wednesday, while open interest trimmed to 36,998 contracts versus 37,157 previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI gained 1.55 points to 1,615.64 from Wednesday’s close of 1,614.09.
