FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking the underlying cash market.

At the close, the December 2024 contract rose 5.5 points to 1,596, January 2025 gained 5.5 points to 1,600, March 2025 added 5.0 points to 1,584.5 and June 2025 was 5.5 points higher at 1,591.50.

Turnover advanced to 4,990 lots from 2,683 lots on Tuesday, while open interest increased to 41,525 contracts versus 39,171 previously. 

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) edged up 0.14 per cent or 2.25 points to 1,599.58 from Tuesday’s close of 1,597.33.
