FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, mirroring losses in the underlying cash market.  

At the close, January 2025 shed 7.5 points to 1,630.5, February 2025 trimmed 6.5 points to 1,635.0, March 2025 declined 6.0 points to 1,618.0, and June 2025 slipped 5.5 points to 1,623.5.  

Turnover decreased to 5,715 lots from 8,280 lots on Thursday, while open interest eased to 42,706 contracts from 43,615 previously.  

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI was down 3.41 points, or 0.21 per cent, at 1,629.46 compared with Thursday’s close of 1,632.87.
