FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Sync With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, mirroring losses in the underlying cash market.

 At the close, January 2025 was half-a-point weaker at 1,599.0, February 2025 dropped 2.5 points to 1,600.0, March 2025 slipped 4.5 points to 1,582.5 and June 2025 declined 4.0 points to 1,588.0.   

Turnover narrowed to 6,354 lots from 7,852 lots on Thursday, while open interest declined to 42,928 contracts from 44,051 previously.  

At 5 pm, the benchmark index edged up 1.60 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 1,602.41 from Thursday’s close of 1,600.81.
