FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Sync With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, mirroring the losses in the underlying cash market.

At the close, January 2025 was 17.5 points weaker at 1,581.5, February 2025 and March 2025 dropped 15.5 points each to 1,584.5 and 1,567.0, respectively, while June 2025 declined 13.5 points to 1,574.5.   

Turnover increased to 6,789 lots from 6,354 lots last Friday, while open interest rose to 42,946 contracts from 42,928 previously.  

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 16.82 points, or 1.05 per cent, to 1,585.59, compared with last Friday’s close of 1,602.41.
