FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Line With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, mirroring the weaker performance in the underlying cash market.

At the close, January 2025 was 23.0 points weaker at 1,553.0, February 2025 fell 23.5 points to 1,556.5, March 2025 dropped 22.5 points to 1,539.5, and June 2025 declined by 22.0 points to 1,545.5. 

Turnover decreased to 8,191 lots from 11,333 lots on Tuesday, while open interest fell to 43,956 contracts from 47,225 yesterday.  

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI slipped 14.34 points, or 0.91 per cent, to 1,562.12 from Tuesday’s close of 1,576.46.
