KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 (Bernama) -- Southern Score Builders Bhd’s (SSBB) wholly-owned subsidiary, Southern Score Sdn Bhd (SSSB) has bagged a contract from Seribu Megah Sdn Bhd to undertake a proposed upgrading works on a detention pond in Kuala Lumpur worth RM78.0 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the commencement date of the project shall be on Jan 15, 2025, to be completed on Jan 14, 2026.

In a separate statement, SSBB executive director and chief executive officer Gan Yee Hin said that this contract will bring the company’s outstanding order book to RM1.3 billion.

“All in all, the outlook for the group is bright, underpinned by our healthy order book and the impending proposed acquisition of SJEE Engineering Sdn Bhd, a leading mechanical and electrical specialist in high-tech and data centre sectors,” he said.

The project is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of the company and its group of companies for the financial year ending June 30, 2025 onwards until the completion of the project, it said.
