FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Line With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, mirroring the weaker performance in the underlying cash market.

At the close, January 2025 was 2.5 points weaker at 1,550.5. February 2025 and March 2025 fell 4.0 points each to 1,552.5 and 1,535.5, respectively, and June 2025 declined by 3.5 points to 1,542.0. 

Turnover increased to 9,578 lots from 8,191 on Wednesday, while open interest added to 45,768 contracts from 43,956 yesterday.  

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI slipped 6.58 points to 1,555.54 from Wednesday’s close of 1,562.12.
