“I hope that these strategic documents can pave the way to ensure ASEAN remains a resilient, competitive and dynamic economic bloc in an increasingly interconnected world,” he said.

He told reporters after hosting the welcoming dinner for the 47th Meeting of HLTF-EI at Desaru, near here, today.

The two-day 47th HLTF-EI convenes today at the Desaru Coast Conference Centre to discuss strategic agendas, including regional and global economic development.

The meeting is expected to strengthen ASEAN’s commitment to accelerating regional economic integration that is more sustainable, inclusive and globally competitive.
