SIBS 2025 Set For Oct 8-11, Solidifying Selangor AS ASEAN Gateway
SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- The Selangor International Business Summit 2025 (SIBS 2025), set for October 8 to 11 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, aims to position Selangor as a regional investment hub and gateway to ASEAN markets.
Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility Ng Sze Han said the summit, a key event of the 2025 ASEAN Summit, will enhance business engagement, attract investment and strengthen regional trade ties.
“SIBS 2025 has been designated as an official event of the ASEAN Summit, bringing together business leaders, policymakers and industry experts from across ASEAN to explore the vast potential of both local and international markets,” he said at a press conference here today.
Ng said this year’s SIBS will feature six key components under one roof: the Selangor International Food and Beverage Expo (SIE F&B), Selangor Investment and Industrial Park Expo (SPARK), Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC), Selangor Smart City and Digital Economy Convention (SDEC), Selangor Aerospace Summit (SAS) and the newly introduced Selangor International Care Summit.
“As a new addition to SIBS 2025, the Selangor International Care Summit is dedicated to strengthening Selangor’s position as a regional leader in the care economy.
“SAS 2025 is a rebranded event, formerly known as the Selangor Aviation Show. This year, it will feature an indoor expo and conference format, focusing on the aerospace sector, including commercial, general and business aviation, as well as the aerospace industry,” he said.
Ng said SIBS 2025 is expected to draw 50,000 visitors and host more than 700 booths, cementing its status as Southeast Asia’s leading business and trade summit.
“We are targeting RM10 billion in transaction value,” he added.
