FBM KLCI Futures Close Firmer

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended firmer on Thursday in line with the strong underlying cash market performance.

At the close, the April 2025 contract rose 56.5 points to 1,462.0, May 2025 added 58.0 points to 1,460.0, June 2025 advanced 56.0 points to 1,456.0, and September 2025 garnered 54.0 points to 1,442.5.

Turnover fell to 13,840 lots from 18,036 lots yesterday, while open interest shrank to 50,029 contracts against 54,219 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 62.54 points, up 4.47 per cent, to 1,463.13 from Wednesday’s close of 1,400.59.
