Xsolla, Altava To Bring Luxury Digital Fashion Into Gaming Industry

KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) -- Xsolla, a global leader in video game commerce, has partnered with ALTAVA Group, a digital fashion and virtual entertainment company known for its roots in the LVMH La Maison des Startups programme.

In a statement, Xsolla Chief Strategy Officer, Chris Hewish emphasised that the partnership enhances the company’s mission to support developers and players by offering richer, more expressive gaming experiences.

Meanwhile, ALTAVA Chief Executive Officer, Andy Ku echoed this sentiment, highlighting their shared goal to embed luxury fashion deeply into digital culture through this collaboration.

As digital fashion is expected to reach the US$50 billion market by 2030, this alliance aims to meet rising demand for personalised, immersive, and avatar-centric experiences in gaming. (US$1=RM4.42)

The collaboration will allow game developers and publishers to access ALTAVA’s premium library of branded 3D fashion assets through Xsolla’s online marketplace.

This enables monetisation opportunities via exclusive fashion items, avatar customisation, and branded in-game content. ALTAVA brings its artificial intelligence-powered tools, 3D asset capabilities, and extensive network in the fashion and entertainment world to support these efforts.

Key features of the partnership include the integration of ALTAVA’s fashion intellectual property (IP), tools for user-generated content, and future initiatives to link virtual fashion with physical merchandise via global activations. The initiative will also tap into Korean pop culture influences—like K-pop and K-drama IPs—to widen global appeal.

With access to over 3,000 optimised digital fashion assets developed alongside major brands such as Fendi, Balmain, and Clarins, developers can now integrate high-end fashion into gameplay.

The initiative also introduces a flexible revenue-sharing model for both official and user-created content, signalling a broader transformation at the intersection of fashion and gaming.
